Tre lokale huse hædres af kommunal byfond

ARKITEKTUR – Hæderen regnede ned over Hjerting, da Esbjerg Kommunes Byfond uddelte 2019-priserne.
Strandparken, Esbjergs første eksempel på en privat villabebyggelse efter en samlet idé, hædres, da kvarteret til i dag bevaret som en harmonisk helhed og derfor stadig er attraktivt. Husene er typiske for den engelske mode omkring 1940, tilsat lidt tidstypisk nyromantik som blyindfattede ruder og skodder.
”Det er byfondens håb, at der med denne præmiering vil blive en større bevidsthed om bebyggelsens unikke kvaliteter, og at beboerne derigennem vil arbejde for at bringe området tættere på det oprindelige udtryk,” lyder det.

Skolestien 4 fra 1725 præmieres for gennemført renovering af et oprindeligt fiskerhus. Skolestien er et af de ældste gadestrækninger i skipperbyen Hjerting. Den har ikke som mange andre i Hjerting været udsat for nedrivninger. Gaden er derfor et særligt bevaringsværdigt kulturmiljø.
Med renoveringen er det lykkes at bevare husets ydmyge udtryk og indrette en moderne bolig. Det giver værdi til hele gaden og løfter den historiske helhed.

Dette nybyggede hus på Hjerting Strandvej 155 fik hæder for at falde godt ind i strandsvejsmiljøet.

Også nybyggeriet Hjerting Strandvej 155 blev hædret for at falde godt ind i strandvejsmiljøet.
