Vi håber på en god genåbning

Som man vil kunne læse i dette nummer af Hjerting Posten, så har coronakrisen haft store omkostninger for erhvervslivet, for eksempel på vort eget lokale Hjerting Badehotel, der om noget definerer byen i dag. Et kæmpestort økonomisk hul skal nu fyldes op over år, men det gode er, at alle nu ved anden genåbning kan bidrage på allerfornøjeligste vis, for  eksempel ved at invitere en god ven på frokost, invitere familien på fredagsmiddag eller bare snuppe en kold fra fad i Ship Inn efter fyraften.
Undervejs har hotellet oplevet en massiv støtte fra lokalbefolkningen, og ledelsen og de i alt 70 ansatte er derfor ved godt mod.
Og det er ikke kun badehotellet, vi skal støtte. Vi skal se at få lagt nogle af vore mange opsparede kroner i de andre restauranter og barer, som har været tvangslukkede. Det samme gælder Broen i Esbjerg, som hjertingborgeren Janni Baslund Dam er chef for. Hun bliver sikkert også glad for at se lokale ansigter der.
Frisørerne og tandlægerne er kommet i gang, og hvis man nogensinde troede, de ikke var savnede, kan man godt tro om. Aldrig har frisørerne haft så travlt med et klippe begejstrede kunder.
Her ved anden genåbning kommer de store elever tilbage i skolerne. 1. og 2. g’erne må blive hjemme, og det er totalt urimeligt. Det samme er begrænsningerne for de zoologiske haver, de gabende tomme museer, udendørskoncerter, hvor man kan stå med afstand og den så trælse grænselukning, der måske kommer til at koste Vestkysten 15 milliarder kroner. Det må da kunne løses. Heldigvis er der forhandlinger og beregninger i gang. Og heldigvis er det udendørs fritidsliv ved at komme tilbage, blandt andet i HIF Fodbold.
Vi krydser fingre for en fortsat god genåbning.
Avisen har selv været ramt. De økonomiske småskrammer er ikke det værste, men avisen fylder 40 år her i maj, og det har vi ikke kunnet fejre. Vi har lagt fejringen på køl og, der kommer forhåbentlig en anledning senere.
