26 svømmere fik et syn som i Ringenes Herre

På det sidste stykke ind mod Ho Bugt Sejlklub gik der konkurrence i den.

Disen lettede og solen brød frem over Vadehavet, da 26 svømmere drog fra Langli

Deltagerne er ved at gøre sig klar til at sejle til Langli for derefter at svømme de 2,5 km hjem.

VANDHALLØJ – En fantastisk morgen var det, da Hjerting Posten drog på bugten sammen med 26 ivrige havsvømmere lørdag den 24. august.
Afsted gik det i en livlig konvoj af små både og gummibåde mod Langli for at svømme – og gå – de 2,5 kilometer hjem til Ho Bugt Sejlklub.

En lille konvoj eller armada af gummibåde og småbåde fragtede svømmerne over til Langli og agerede som sikkerhedsbåde på vejen hjem.

Der var diset på vejen derover, men så snart holdet stod klar til fotografering på stranden på Langli – alle minus én i våddragt – brød solen og varmen frem.
”Det er da det rene Ringenes Herre”, lød det fra en af svømmerne i flokken bagefter.
Deres udsendte sejlede med Jeppe Schmiegelow, og flere gange måtte vi løfte påhængsmotoren, fordi det var så lavvandet. Også derfor kunne svømmerne undervejs gå et stykke på et område midtvejs, hvor der kun var 40 centimeter vand. For flere var det en kærkommen anledning til at puste lidt ud.

Undervejs kunne svømmerne tage sig et hvil på et meget lavvandet sted.

Efter dette vadested gik der konkurrence i den, og først i mål på stranden var Janus Kempel.

En ret frisk vinder, Jonas Hempler, på vej i land. To børn uddelte medaljer.

Arrangør var Ho Bugt Sejlklub, der gerne ser flere deltage næste gang, 50 er ikke et urealistisk antal af fragte derover eller hjem.
